The Deuces Wild strategy is built around how many deuces you've been dealt on the first hand as this affects your chances of a win. Your starting hand will have at least one deuce on average every 2.6 hands.

The basic strategy is:

• Always keep a completed hand unless you have more than two deuces or you're one card away from a straight flush.
• Keep any deuces.

If you don't hold any deuces or pairs, discard all five cards unless you can make:

• Three cards towards a royal flush
• Four cards towards a flush draw
• Four cards towards an outside flush draw
• Three cards towards an inside straight
• Two cards towards a royal flush

If you only hold one deuce, you discard the other four unless you can keep:

• Four cards to a royal flush
• Four cards towards a straight flush
• Keep any three of a kind cards
• Any different combination towards a straight flush
• Three cards towards a royal flush

If you hold two deuces, discard the other three cards unless:

• You can make four of a kind
• You can make a royal flush
• You can make a straight flush

If you hold three deuces, discard the other two cards unless you have a pat straight flush or better.
